Which Valley coach, other than GF, would you want?
Again - interesting to look back - unlike last spring nobody's talking about the fine job Greg Lansing did ...he was actually expected to do way better than he ended up doing......going 8-11 in 2012.......after going 9-2 in the pre-conference schedule...
A year ago at this time - Greg Lansing was one of the the hottest Valley commodities........
Lansing got 11 FIRST PLACE votes for Coach of the Year and his team even got several FIRST PLACE VOTES this season - during the MVC Preseason Poll....
PLUS -- they had nearly their whole team returning and just about everyone picked them to be up there with Creighton and Wichita instead of down there with the 6-7-8th place guys...
And as this poll shows...people envied him here....just like a few years earlier, they envied Chris Lowery -- in fact I recall a thread moaning about why we couldn't land a coach who could recruit and coach like Chris Lowery!
not at all -- I check the older threads all the time -- it's incredibly entertaining how people's opinions change like the wind...
You got that right.
One minute fans shouldn't question who a coach plays because the coach knows more and the next its ok for fans to question the coach on who deserves playing time.

It's all so confusing
Agreed.
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
It seems to me that it's OK for some here to question a coach and even call for him to be fired, but if others do it, it drives some people hysterical.

I think they get more enraged by "others'" inconsistencies and hypocrisy...
Either way, it's just someone's opinion. Why such hysteria?
I think because it often comes from some of this board's most prolific posters it garners more attention than if it came from someone like me. Just a guess... I could be wrong... and probably am.

That is the point. Many were brow-beaten for giving opinions last year, now it is the norm.
No one is saying opinions shouldn't be allowed. Some just wonder why the change in "some" people. That's why the other poster referenced that last year it was not okay to ever question the coach, but this year it is.

Hey. No problem here. I think that is what message boards are all about. Posting differing opinions by loyal fans. We may not always agree but I am very much pro freedom of expression and anti censorship.
I also think its great to laugh at oneself from time to time and admit we arent always right. No shame in that. I have serious misgivings towards a guy who takes himself too seriously.
I was earlier just pointing out the irony of recalling old posts and changing opinions by tornado. Im sure he knows he was caught redhaned there. Just laugh it off.
All I know is I'd have been more prolific here if it weren't for sensitive posters/viewers here who didn't enjoy satire, comedy, or parody (including songs), particularly when it dealt with old coaches!
I still think my Edgar Allen Poe 'The Raven' satire/parody was relatively harmless compared to the out and out hostility seen on this Forum over posts discussing coaches past and present....
