One of them is Nathan Taphorn from Pekin -- son of a guy who played at a different college -- and a kid who has been lighting it up everywhere he plays..
"2013 SF 6'6 Nathan Taphorn on unofficial to Bradley today"
he is already setting up visits to DePaul, Illinois, Michigan, Northwestern...
"Best Performances:
Nathan Taphorn for the Illinois Wolves 16’s against Eric Gordon All-Stars. The 6’6” SF from Pekin scored 26 points
that led the Wolves back from a double digit deficit in the first half to beat EG. Taphorn hit 6 three-pointers on eight attempts."
A writeup by ESPN....
"Illinois Wolves 16s guard Nate Taphorn (Pekin, Ill./Pekin) put on a shooting display worthy of a college audience.
Unfortunately, college coaches weren't allowed in the building to see him drain six 3-pointers in one game."
All-Iowa Attack's trio of Marcus Paige, Mike Gesell and Adam Woodbury show its one not to mess with.
And this...
"Impressive weekend for shooter"

You got in there and changed it before I could correct you.
Matt is his uncle; Nate's dad played at UW-Green Bay."But instead lets just hate while their MBB and WBB programs play blackjack against BU. Twenty-One in a row, seven by the Men & 14 by their women." ~NSBF

He sounds like a JC clone. If this kid is a dead-eye shooter then we could definitely use him. It's no coincidence that BU had its most successful season when Crouch and others hit the 3 to open the middle and vice versa.

As noted elsewhere, former BU recruit Jeff Early has signed with SIU.
As was mentioned, there were a couple other recruits on the Bradley campus last pm. One was Malcolm Herron, a junior college shooting guard from West Texas College-
The other was Manual HS junior-to-be A.J. Riley- he is a 6'2" point guard who is starting to get recognition as one of the top players in Illinois in the class of 2013.
YouTube video- A.J. Riley is #14-

AJ is quite an impressive player who is a legit 6'2. The only thing missing from his bag of tricks is the ability to consistently knock down mid-range jumpers.
He handles the ball well, has great court vision, and he can drive to the hoop (as you can see in those clips). If he can show coaches that he can knock down jump shots, he'll probably get a D-1 offer.
