  • OT: Lakers getting clubbed and playing like classless jerks!

In what could be the final game in Phil Jackson's last game as coach, the Lakers are getting manhandled 100-68 (and about to get worse!)! Two Laker players have just been ejected, first Lamar Odom, and the latest Andrew Bynum after he tomahawked Dallas player JJ Barea with his right elbow!

What a bunch of classless jerks! This is worse than when most of the Detroit Piston players walked off the court without shaking the hands of the Bulls players back in 1990! And the announcers are just tearing into these players for some of the worst behavior ever seen in the playoffs! Look for some big time fines and suspensions at the beginning of next season for what will probably be a totally revamped team anyway.

And it should be a terrific Les Grobstein show tonight between 10 and 11 on the Score in Chicago as Les HATES the Lakers with a passion!

Agree with your assessment -- but I really had a hard time trying to figure out from the broadcast who it was that was clubbing the Lakers by 30 points,
and the entire 2 and a half hours seemed like a love-fest for Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant....

Do they know that not everyone in the US is a devoted Lakers fan and some of us kinda like to actually hear the announcers mention the name of who the Lakers are playing.
They did mention Mark Cuban a time or two and I heard the name Nowitzki, but most of the time was about the Lakers and Phil Jackson -- even Brian Shaw who they all felt was going to take over for Jackson and Bryant, Odom, and all the Lakers' aging superstars

This whole series the Mavericks have just been treated like an afterthought. Most of the Lakers just quit in this game. Bynum and Odom should both get suspensions for their cheap shots. That might have been the best bench game I've ever seen as Terry, Barea and Stojakovic had 75 of their points. They keep playing like this they'll be the team to beat.

Great points! Very true! Just like with the Kate and William royal wedding. The way these entertainment "reporters" were carrying on, you would have thought that over 6 billion people were going to watch it!

I truly think this type of in-your-face hype is symptomatic of the whole entertainment industry desperately trying to compete for every last dollar and every last person. But it's ruining the viewer experience for those who truly watch sporting or any other entertainment event for the experience of it. And I don't sincerely know how long these industries will be able to keep an audience, because they are driving people away in droves. Add in the bad economy and I smell NBA lockout coming up in the very near future!

And totally agree about the Lakers acting like losers. That may have been the most bush league behavior I have ever seen in a sporting event!

Agreed, I think Bynum should get hit with about a 5-10 game suspension without pay. The way he did it, and how he took his jersey off at mid-court just screamed bush league. The NBA needs to make a point out of him.

Amen. I just finished watching Sports Center and the highlights. Found myself welling with anger listening to him during the interview. Then the pulling off of the shirt before leaving the court? C'mon.

              Thank goodness for college hoops.

The Laker's perimeter D looked like ours most of this past season LOL. Tomorrow's Celtics game should be interesting, see what Rondo can do with 1 arm.

they were a classless bunch for sure. Bynum should be suspended for some games next year in my opinion along with a heavy fine....

Maybe if they would have even attempted to play a little defense this wouldn't have happened...
