  • Recruiting- what's next?

Now that Devon Hodges is signed for next season, Bradley is not done recruiting.

What do fans think we need next?

Coach Ford's top target is super athletic 6'6" Markus Crider of Dayton,Ohio.

I have heard we have a visit scheduled with Crider.

But there is also reportedly a potential transfer player interested in Bradley and scheduled to visit.

What do fans think, could Bradley use another 6'9", 245 lb. forward?

I would LOVE a class with a 6'3" guard and 3 players over 6'6"! We really need a shooter though. Big wings will win us valley championships, but to make noise against bigger opponents we need to able to count on the three too.

I agree that we need a pure shooter we can count on for 3's. I imagine that we'll get more kick-outs from our bigs this year, meaning more open 3's.
I'm still optimistic that DSE, JE, and MK can improve on their 3-pt. % and knock down the long ball (6-7 per game between them all). I'd like us to be able to hit 9 or 10 every once in a while though, especially when defenses don't give us much inside and limit our opportunities to run it up & down the court.

If TB returns and DS steps into the PG role, I really don't see many weaknesses - only our perimeter shooting.

Also look for WL to improve his shot for next season....sounds like most of the guys are staying thru the summer to work on their game.....everyone was really upbeat about next season including TB! Also JP said is only about 2 weeks out from being able to play again!

If DS is our starting point guard I will be very worried or he is far better than I've seen. DS is good, no doubt, but I am very wary of freshman PG's. I can't even begin to predict the line-up at this point. I'm sure it will have DSE, TB, & JP. I would LOVE for new guys to fill the other two spots, but thats mainly 'the back-up QB on a losing team is everyone player' thereom. WE, AT, etc. are known quantities, and if one of them are starting I think 4th is our ceiling, personally.

I would think that DS would get the bulk of minutes at the PG slot, right? I look forward to watching him for the 1st time.
I think our improvement over last year will be our depth (we say that at the start of EVERY season, don't we?? ) We really only had 2 bigs to rely on last year, and one was Mr. Foul-Out.
I also hope our new guys (DH & JC) get significant minutes as freshmen. I have high hopes for both in the coming years after this one.

Crider would be a fantastic get. A super athletic wing, high major prospect would be a huge recruiting win for Geno and BU.

                  WL
                  DSE
                  TB
                  WE
                  JP

as a starting line up I think could be pretty good..if there are a few things each person works on over the summer to improve on. It seems pretty athletic, with some creative players, and some pretty good size also.

I think a another big guy might be just what we need.

I do agree with others that shooting is a concern, but I believe with solid coaching over the summer our current guards can vastly improve their shooting and then we'll be fine.

So am I reading you correctly? Do you view JC & DH as projects? Otherwise why say "another"?

People will have a lot of differing opinions about recruits now, especialy since few of us have seen these kids play. But from what I have heard from people who have seen them play- Jalen Crawford and Devon Hodges are not projects. They is no plan to redshirt them, and they will contribute next season.

I know some fans want another shooter, but I really want to see Bradley get bigger and more physical and athletic, and so does Coach Ford.
Watch for some good news about this on Wed.

Maybe we could go to a 4 power forward lineup and take no prisoners?
