Originally posted by Da Coach View PostI have heard that's when other fans started to hear about Hodges and how impressive he was at an open gym workout Monday on campus. He liked Bradley and loved the facilities and wanted to come to Bradley. He was invited back Thursday for the official visit, and the rest is history.
And now, fans should be prepared for the next possible commitment coming soon.
We'll have more as soon as we can.
Thanks to you, Tornado, and to others who had a little more info. than the rest of us to fill us in on recruiting Devon as much as you could.

I've done one before to expose a slimy police officer, so I love crap like that. Direct way for citizens to get to the bottom of things. Glad his story got out.
Don't get me wrong, I hope Hodges finds success here. But it worries me having a kid bounce between Neaqua Valley, then Romeoville, and then Bolingbrook. I will remain reserved until I see how he does here, hopefully I end up surprised.

I agree the blog sounds like they have an axe to grind, and you can't always believe what is in a private blog. But this blog does identify those behind it, so it is not anonymous, and they have been blogging about a large number of issues in their community for years.
FWIH, Devon and his mother were forced to move because of financial problems, and inability to keep their house. None of their moves were made for basketball purposes, yet politicians tried to make a case of that for their own personal gain.
Amazing that we see innumerable reports all the time where school officials and/or families bend or break rules for the purpose of getting kids eligible at new schools. This is a rare example of a kid who did nothing wrong, but the school he should have been allowed to play for manipulated the process to keep him ineligible.

He may very well be one of the most unluckiest people out there with the run of bad luck that he caught. Like I said I hope he finds success on the hilltop. It sounds like he already started to fit in well with the team. And hopefully he'll break the mold that male athletes that have gone D-1 from Bolingbrook have created.

DUBrave -- I only meant to point out that sure he might have an axe to grind but he may also be the only one standing up for what's right against those in the school system that appear to have ruined Devon's chances to play at Bolingbrook.
I think the reader can easily tell or should easily have the opportunity to hear and see those opinions whether there's an axe to grind or not..
and still readily be able to figure out for himself what's true and what is not.

Time to give credit where credit is due.....As T had proclaimed, new BU facilities seem to be helping new BU management land some pretty good new players, and apparently, asst coaches!
Some day in the future, to recognize the guy who helped make it happen, perhaps name the practice floor after JL...BUilding for the Future

No smiles, winks or devils.
Sincere credit, it is true
Pro change, but not hate
Deserved more time?
Can relatives stay too long?
Time to pass the torch
Les was more for Braves
All good things come to an end
Honor his success
Not an alum or staff
No real dog in this here fight
Post here to stir pots
Can support both sides
Similar passion for each

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
