amc - Only time will tell but I can say the Maryland area has more potential in area recruits then just about any metro area.

After being turned down by several others, Maryland has offered their job to Texas A&M coach Mark Turgeon. Turgeon is said to be leaning toward taking the job.

He's always been the guy I was hoping they bring in. He will fit in quite nicely at MD of course until Kansas comes calling when they get rid of Self.

I've always thought Turgeon was WAY over-rated. Remember, he lost his last team at WSU before getting a perfectly timed offer to bail to A&M. Otherwise, I think he'd still be rebuilding WSU..... or would have been fired.

Good for him. He will really make the big money now.

Who will Texas A&M hire next? Could they raid the MVC again?

Memphis' Josh Pastner reportedly is not interested in the Texas A&M job. It's not clear that it was offered to him.

Other reports suggest Texas A&M will pursue Marquette's Buzz Williams, and there are reports Williams is interested.

Other rumored names-Nebraska??™s Doc Sadler, Wichita State??™s Gregg Marshall and Colorado??™s Tad Boyle.

I'd have to say Greg Marshall would make a ton of sense out of all those names. I'd be surprised that Buzz Williams would take that job and not wait another year when I bet there will be a few better options for him.

I would think that would depend upon whether he signed his new WSU contract. I'd have to think that if NC State's money (and closer proximity to his roots) couldn't lure Marshall then A&M has no chance to get him either....... but I've been wrong before.
