I have spoken to people who have seen him play this week against college competetion, and he held his own quite well. Our coaching staff believes DH can play in the Valley right now. He will contribute immediately, and will likely play ahead of some of our current players. And they have no plans on redshirting him.
Well if our current staff feels that strongly about DH, that's all that matters. What do we have to lose anyways? We lose 3 senior bigs after this season - anyways - he's got time to blossom.

To be quite honest.. I saw the deleted post before it was deleted and wasn't sure how to respond. I am all for going after Hodges. There is never a sure thing in recruiting and I like the fact that there is a high ceiling. Also at this point in the recruiting period, there are no sure things waiting for our call.

I believe I read in another post he has already qualified academically. So that's a plus as well.

I hope nobody took my post as a negative.. I was just trying to add a little perspective to a player that there isn't much info on.

To me, this "under the radar" situation sounds a bit like one from a few years ago...although the circumstances are certainly different. I think TB has worked out rather well for BU, wouldn't you say??

You can't have too much size, and a large athletic player should do very well in the MVC. Hopefully it works out. I try not too get too excited about recruits b/c too many "good" recruits don't develop.

If he's 6'8" and can walk down the street without falling down, then he's ahead of some of the Bradley big men of the past decade.
I can do all things through pasta, which strengthens me.

IL Prep Bullseye is pretty much already calling this one...
They've been wrong before -- but nice to see they think he's a Brave...

Would be surprised if 6'7 2011 PF Devon Hodges from Bolingbrook doesn't commit to Bradley before the end of the weekend.about 2 hours ago via web

We should be hearing good news tomorrow or Monday.

Coach Ford also will continue to focus on recruiting, and will have a couple other visitors in the next week.
