  • Another opinion of the MVC

A writer for the News & Observer, centered in Raleigh, NC picks the top 10 basketball conferences. The MVC #7, though he lists the Atlantic 10 ahead of them. He says--
"The MVC kept four of its best coaches --Creighton's Dana Altman, Bradley's Jim Les, Southern Illinois' Chris Lowery and Wichita State's Mark Turgeon."

And here is a writer picking Kansas to go to the NCAA title game. When will they learn. But he does pick Creighton to make the Sweet 16.--

Amazing what one big season can do for a guy. Halfway through last season JL was regarded as a bottom-tiered coach by a lot of people, myself included. I'm not ready to elevate him to elite status yet, but I know I certainly have more faith in what can and I believe will happen with this program moving forward. Regardless of what transpires this season, I am very positive on the overall direction of the program for the first time in a while.
      Onward and Upward!

Apparently, they're not very good at math down there. When you have 2 conference tied for 6th place, the next conference should be #8, rather than #7. Yeah, it's nitpicking, but that's what I do best.

You gotta give the guy a break.

          1) He's from the East Coast - a haven for the 'drive-by' media
          2) With the Big 10 comprised of 11 teams and the Atlantic 10 made up of 14 teams.... no wonder simple mathematics is a problem for these guys.
