  • Juco Jeff Early on campus for visit

Jeff Early, a 6-foot-3 small forward from Monroe College, a two-year school in the Bronx, N.Y., arrived here Monday night for an official visit to Bradley, a source close to the player said.
Other than Bradley, Early also has scholarship offers from Southern Illinois and Loyola-Chicago.

Here is another thread with more info about Juco 1st team All-American Jeff Early-

Dave also confirmes what we have reported here, that Bradley is actively recruiting Markus Crider who de-committed from Providence-

Thats good news....after reading how atheletic Early is (40'' vertical...Chris Roberts/Theron Wilson) type .....would be verfy interested in getting another player like that! Lock-him up Coach!

There have been other recruits on campus, and we are close to signing 1 or 2 additional kids.

As I have said elsewhere, Bradley may have bigger needs than another 6'3" wing. I have heard this recruit is leaving and is still uncommitted.

I think that we really need a wing who is an excellent three point shooter...
As long as I am posting a wish list, I would also like Geno to land a power forward who is an enforcer.

Ok back to spring fever.. I think...
            Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

I hope we hear something in the next day or two. I'm ready to see what our completed roster will look like next season.

Did I read earlier that Jeff Early has an apx. 50% Free Throw percentage? I'm not sure that's worth it for a Small Forward.

I'm sure that isn't going to keep him from from getting to college basketball..

                    Tristan Thompson, Vernon Macklin

A 6'3" small forward is very small indeed. HS forwards are taller than that. Sure he can jump, but that does not make up for height on a consistent basis. I would like to see big, tall, and strong with an attitude. I like Will and Jordan, but we need an enforcer. Personally, I think Will is a 3 and Jordan a 4. They have been playing out of place in D 1 ball. IMO.

Jeff Early will not be offered by Coach Ford.

He will now sign with Southern Illinois.

He fits the SIU mold better anyway...... A tenacious defender that can't hit the broad side of a barn.
