Winona St beats Minnesota

Like did we predict this or what?
I think this proves beyond doubt that Winona is no ordinary D-II.
These guys are good, they went 2-1 against the MVC & Big Ten on the road, and in the end
Bradley is the ONLY D-I team to beat them this year (or last year as well for that matter).
Minnesota never led in the final 10 minutes of the game, and loses 69-64. John Smith got 14 pts, 13 rebs, Jonte Flowers had 15 pts.

According to this article, the reason Winona was able to beat Drake and Minnesota, but lost to Bradley is because Bradley is "an NCAA tournament Sweet 16 team last season."

Wow
That win over Minnesota has got to be the biggest win in the history of their program. I have a feeling we'll be able to say we beat the National Champions (D-II) this year.
And, if Kansas finds a way to put it all together and avoid "Self"destruction, we may be able to say that last years team beat this years D-I national champion.

"This was by far a more impressive victory, as the Warriors dominated physically against their Big Ten opponent. They outrebounded the Gophers 40-27 despite having only one starter taller than 6 feet 8. Minnesota also had trouble finishing strong and defending inside."
While Bradley's overall height might be a concern this year, Winona State showed that you make up some of that lack by having lots of heart. The Bradley team showed tons of heart last year and I expect that this year's team will pick up where last year's team left off and bring the heat every game.

Obviously it is early, and who knows how the rest of the season will go, but......
Kansas has a lot of superstar athletes, but as I said before they forgot to recruit any shooters.
They showed that in the intrasquad scrimmage where nobody could make a basket unless they dunked it.
And in their exhibition againt Emporia State they shot rather poorly from outside, especially their best overall shooter from last season, Brandon Rush (3-12 and 1-4 from 3-pt).
A decent defensive team could shut these guys down.
