Who Do You Think GF Will Be Able To Add For 2011-12?
I know I have said this before, but I have watche DS play since he was in 3rd grade, at every level, I have heard people say he is not ready for the step up and that it will take a couple of years. I also know that DS is probably reading these posts. I hope he is, because the Donivine I know, will take the doubts as a challenge and step up. saying that, i feel like we have a starting pg in DS. A back up for DS would be nice, if we get someone that DS is backing up then we really have some good PG's. Put it in the books, DS will set assist records at BU and that is what he will be known for, his scoring will be adequate and his court IQ will impress everyone.
all said, we need some BIGS that can keep up with the GENO running game
I would agree w/ your assessment of DS. I have watched him a couple of times and was impressed w/ his court vision. Always pushing the ball and new where his teammates were and got the ball to them in a hurry. The only negative was it didn't seem like he was that fast but wasn't too much of a hindrance. To the teammates of DS always be ready for the ball because he is looking for you
I'm personally not big on counting on Freshman to lead a team. If he was coming in as a big time 4-5 star recruit that would be one thing. D-I basketball is a much bigger jump then going from JV to V. I say we give him a bit of time and perhaps by March he can be that guy. I wish Edren McCain was still a Brave to be quite honest!

SFP - For the first time I think I am not on the same page with you. I think that DS is more than capable to contribute as a Frosh at BU and honestly would rather have DS than EM. There is a desire to succeed (or maybe not embarrass themselves) that the local kids bring to BU that I just don't see from other recruits. I don't know if he will be a starter but I definitely anticipate solid contributon from DS.
EM would have been a Sr. and I'd have to believe a capable one at this point in his career. This would have lessen the pressure from anyone having to step up right away and perform. I'd rather have a Fr. take their time working their way into significant playing time.

I would like to see Coach Ford play guys with little experience like DS so they can develop for the future of BU hoops. Next season doesn't expect to be a Valley Championship year anyways (though I don't see any Valley team being vastly better than us if TB is back) I thought that JP should have seen more court last year during the Valley season when we were in the losing streak. Fortunately he played more for the last part so that he's got more experience heading into this next season. Milos & AT need to be used more too. I don't think we've seen MK enough to say that he's not a threat from deep...an outside shooter that we're looking for. Maybe - maybe not.
