And assuming last year was the worst team we will see in awhile, our already solid attendance has nowhere to go but up.
    Agreed

    ancona flash

Pro sports teams report tickets sold, not butts in the seats. College teams do the same, this isn't even a topic worth debating.

What's encouraging to me is that during our worst season in quite some time, we still are #56 in attendance. Imagine if we start winning? Peoria and BU is a sleeping mid major giant that could have triple the following of a Gonzaga or Butler if we'd ever win consistently.

    i know IF we could

Here's something that could boost attendance.....different than the event a couple weeks ago with just the cheerleaders...

I was just reading about this being done at Saint Louis ---
this past weekend they had a Billiken Men's Basketball FanFest
Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

      They billed it as....
"The family-friendly event is free and open to the public and runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m."

the coaches, players, and everyone was there and it was well attended and generated a multipage thread talking about it on their boards...
it definitely had its intended purpose and generated some off-season interest and hype for basketball.....

I hope our staff considers something like this where the basketball players are there to meet with fans and help generate renewed fan interest....

Dick Versace was good at getting his players involved in the community. I can still see the mass of humanity coming over the top of the Cedar St bridge from the East Peoria side when he had the "Race with Versace."
What part of illegal don't you understand?
