MVC Recruiting-Wichita State loses recruit to Gonzaga

Guy Landry of Midland College, one of the top junior college players in the 2011 class, committed to Gonzaga while on a weekend visit there. He picked Gonzaga over Wichita State, where he visited last weekend.-

Drake just got a commitment from Micah Mason, a 6-2 guard from near Pittsburgh (class of 2012)

Mason averaged 34 ppg as a junior this season, and had a game where he scored 64 points on only 19 shots (17-19 from the field, 7-7 from 3-pt and 23-24 from the line).

Here is an article about one of the kids who may be visiting this weekend- Corbin Thomas of Southwestern Illinois College. He is a 6'6" power forward who had a great year, and outshined a teammate (Will Kirksey PF) who was rated the #13 best juco player in the country in the preseason.-

Another recruit rumored to be a possible visitor is Larry Nance, Jr. There are reports that he visited Wyoming last weekend, and that he is considering Wyoming, Michigan, Central Michigan, and OKlahoma. Bradley is a recent addition to the mix, and may be at a disadvantage. Let's hope we can get him for a visit and impress him with some of the best facilities in the country!

What happened to CT the last few games of the season? Injury?

This kid may fill a hole that we have in our roster - has the body of a banger - probably could put on 10-15 more pounds over the off-season.

The general belief is that we have 2 immediate needs for next season - 1) a banger & a boarder, and 2) a pure shooter from outside.
He's a possibility - might be a good pick-up?
