2011-2012 schedules

Bradley is far from releasing their 2011-2012 schedule.
But Dr. Cross and the coaching staff are putting together another great non-conference schedule.

Any Big 10 Teams on said schedule?

Not more than one or two.

The rumored additional non-conference game against a Big Ten team is now confirmed to Michigan (as Coach Ford said, "one of the most poorly kept secrets in Peoria"). We will play at Michigan in December, 2011, and Michigan will play at Carver Arena in December, 2012.

So to clarify, that means Bradley could play 2 Big Ten teams this season, with Wisconsin in the Chicago Invitational Tournament.

What?! Better be EARLY December..it'd be a real shame if students miss an opportunity to see a game like that. We need more games with bigger names...generate some more interest in the student body.

Michigan State was early December... I'm not worried about them doing it much later than that one.

I actually was told what the date was, but now I don't remember the precise date as it did not seem too important to me. But I think it was the first week of December. We sould know soon.

Awesome! That is great to FINALLY get a BCS team into Carver Arena, and a home and home series instead of the usual 2 for 1 format for a change!

I guess it helps that the son of the current Michigan coach is on our staff too. Anything to help get the job done.

Drake will be playing in the Paradise Jam Nov. 18-21 in U.S. Virgin Islands ...
the tournay also includes...
Winthrop, Drexel, Marquette, Mississippi, Norfolk State, TCU and Virginia.


Meanwhile NC-State pulls out of Las Vegas Classic Tournament claiming that it ...
"didn’t provide a high enough level of competition that N.C. State was seeking for a multiple-game commitment."
..when it might be possible that NC State feared losing to other teams in the tourney!

White and Blue actually does a pretty good job of updating every teams non-conference games. Drake in the PJam has actually been known for quite some time.

It looks like the valley should have some pretty strong non-conference schedules this upcoming year.
