Head Coach Geno Ford has not completed his staff yet. The official Bradley website shows only Coach Ford and Assistant Coach Willie Scott-

But here is what we have been about to find out:
The top assistant spot is still open. It has been rumored that the top spot was offered to Greg Graham who was the head coach at Boise State from 2002-2010. He visited the Bradley campus back on April 7. He played basketball at Oregon from 1974-1978. But there has not been a hiring yet. There appears to be some hesitancy on Graham's side. We should hear something soon on this.

Willie Scott is the only officially announced hiring as one of Coach Ford's assistant coaches.

It has been reported that Jaden Uken was hired, but no official announcement has been made by Bradley. If he is hired as an assistant coach, then the coaching staff is complete if Pat Beilein is officially hired. It may still be possible that he will serve as Director of Basketball Operations, which would still leave one spot open. He is listed as Director of Basketball Operations on the Kent State website under coach Rob Senderoff, but he is now working at Bradley.

And, it is now also being reported that Pat Beilein was hired as an assistant coach by Coach Ford, though no official announcement has been released. Beilein is the son of current Michigan coach John Beilein, and played at West Virginia under his father. He was an assistant coach at Dartmouth last year.

Jalen Crawford's mom's photos from the visit showed (and talked about) Jaden, and she referred to him as an assistant coach. Not that a DBO may not be referred to that way, but it was the only indication of Jaden officially being involved that I've seen.

So if Beilein is an assistant, Scott is an assistant, and Jaden is an assistant, then we just need a DBO? I suppose that leaves Willie as the top assistant?

Unless Jaden takes the DBO role and we pick up someone else as the top Asst? Seems like a weird scenario... And a young staff. I suppose 2 young guys and two that have a little more experience isn't bad... But we don't have any sage-wisdom types!

Are you confident that Beilein is an assistant and not DBO? Thats the biggest surprise to me about this.

Judson does it at ISU, and he is the #1 assistant but I'm sure every school does it differently...

My thought was it's usually the top assistant. But this could very easily just be temporary until we get said top assistant.

Interesting on the 2 for 1....Is that us getting a 2 for 1 or giving a 2 for 1.

Sounds to me like any 2 for 1 but we are willing to give up 2 road games to get 1 home.

This is no surprise, since who else would be doing it? Willie and Geno have been out on the road recruiting, and Uken is the only other member of the staff that was hired

At some schools the AD or Asst AD do the scheduling, and at others it's the coaches. Ken Kavanagh used to do some of the calling and contracting, but Jim Les and his assistants did some of it, too.

If true, would Beilein be an assistant or the DBO?
According to the Dartmouth website, he was an assistant there, so it would be unusual to see him dropping back down to DBO here. But as I said, there has not been any official announcement.

BTW, I just heard from Bobby Parker- Jaden is definitely hired and working on campus, and the Beilein hiring is not officially completed, but that is the intention of Coach Ford. Once all the paperwork is finalized, there will probably be a joint announcement about both Jaden and Pat, but it won't be until at least next week since Coach Ford will be out of town.

There also is no official announcement about Jalen Crawford, because they have not received his NLI yet. That is expected maybe today.

EDIT - DC, did BP say that Uken was already working as a coach or a DBO perchance? It's a young (as far as experience goes anyway) staff if those are the three guys are all assistants. Wonder who the top assistant would be? Money on Beilein or Uken? Can't imagine it'd be scott...

"Jaden has been hired " is all I got. Since he was involved in showing Jalen Crawford around this past weekend, I assume he is working as an assistant coach, since the DBO job does not involve recruiting activities, according the NCAA's definition.

DBO's basically handle flight arrangements and stuff don't they? I'd imagine they're allowed to schedule recruits and get them to meetings and stuff... But maybe I'm wrong.

That being said, one of the captions to those facebook pics referred to him as "Coach Uken" if I remember.
