Great news. Welcome to Bradley! Not that twitter isn't official or anything..Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

As we have with many recruits -- we are taking a bit of a chance because nobody knows what will happen, but he has the tools to develop into an Antoine Young/Dwayne Lathan caliber player...kids that are skilled in several aspects.

Another kid who may be a bit similar to Jalen as a late bloomer is Darius Johnson-Odom, a kid that Jim les recruited and who now plays at Marquette and was recruited by Bradley. He was a full qualifier but despite a good senior year in high school, he got no offers. So he went to the Patterson Prep School in North Carolina and had a pretty good year. But the only offers he got were from Bradley and a couple other lower midmajors. He thought he could do better, so he decided to go to a junior college and hope to get better offers. He spent 1 year at Hutchinson Junior College in Kansas, and developed into a JC All-American and Freshman POY his freshman year. From there he got much bigger and better offers and landed at Marquette, where he developed into an All Big-East second team after his junior year. Pretty impressive for a kid who had no offers out of high school.
Darius Johnson-Odom, but the potential is there.
