I'm disappointed that RA isn't coming, but personally I think its premature to say we're missing out on something huge until he's actually played and shows what he can do at the college level. There have been plenty of "big time" recruits who didn't pan out and there's no way to know if RA is or isn't one of them until he actually plays.

It wasn't long ago that we missed out on John Wilkins and everyone was talking about what a huge loss that was. But after a year of seeing him play he was in no way the game-changer people made him out to be. Good player, but not a dominant one. It just goes to show that you never really know until they get out there and play.

are you serious, Wilkens was a huge loss !!!!!! Pretty sure we could have used him, RA is also a loss, and a big one. However that said, it is what it is and we move on, no excuses, just move on and play what you have

The kid was never a brave, and if he decided he didn't want to be so be it. I would rather let him go now than have him come to BU and then decide he wanted to leave here for bigger and better things (ring a bell?) Bradley will be just fine, Geno already landed a nice player who had an offer from Xavier. I'm not into playing the who offered who game, but ESPN lists RA as also receiving interest from Wright State Raiders, Akron Zips, Marshall Thundering Herd, Morehead State Eagles, Seton Hall Pirates. Shayok Shayok could definitely fill a much needed position in spelling TB during games.

Here's to landing an even bigger fish for this small pond.

BU and JL won RA over Marshall, Wright State and Penn State, per the tweet. If RA heads to any of these schools cause he got to play the JL is gone card, yeah, I'd say GF didn't git er done...

Hope he is as good as he thinks he is, or, what his handlers/homies tell him he is, and can land that next big school schollie where the grass is greener than the MVC, BU, and GF.....

BU apparently thought getting a Coach of GF caliber was more important than hopefully having RA here/stay here at BU with JL.

Time, and only time, will tell if this decision was correct.

I'll have to say that JW was NOT a huge loss after seeing him play last season. I don't think I'd want him - he lacks toughness and seems to only be able to score shooting the 3, of which he didn't rock the house.
I'm glad we didn't get him, but that's just my personal feeling in the matter.

In the end, it does not matter. What we have is an open scholarship, and a new direction to go in.

Coach Ford now has more work to do.
I disagree. We did "lose Remy". He was signed and fully committed, as surely as any other players Bradley has returning for next year's team, and he would have been here if there had not been a coaching change. It's OK to admit the coaching change did lead to this fallout.
We have lost a high quality basketball player, and high character kid. Now Coach Ford will have to find a replacement, and I think few if any coaches would say the quality of available talent in April and May is anywhere near as good as it is in the preceeding summer and fall.
We are all on Coach Ford's side now, but replacing a recruit as good as Remy will be almost impossible.

It seemed to me all the ability was there, but the drive, heart and toughness were lacking. He seems a little selfish, just based on observation of games and interviews and that sort of thing.

I think the book on John Wilkins still has a few chapters to be written, for better or worse....

funny when people wanted to oust Mo -- they really didn't care if any of the players left....
but several years later the same people turned on JL and once they saw the caliber of players we lost in the 2002 coaching change -- blamed Les for the loss of such great players as DG, JT, ATis --deja vu...
