I knew that quote didn't sound too promising. He probably feels lucky we had the coaching change so he could get out of the commit he made before his stellar Sr. season.

So maybe he's still considering, but does not want to be hasty in a decision. If he asks for and gets a release from BU, does that mean he's definitely not coming to BU?

I doubt it. Only in the case he doesn't get any offers from schools he likes better... And then only if we haven't filled the scholarship by then. I don't really have any doubt in Geno's ability to fill the roster. He doesn't look to have a history of "banking" them.

I figured this was going to happen so we need to move on, wish he had come to BU but I am sure he has gotten calls from BCS cheaters that have promised him things that we did not promise to him, be interesting to see where he lands but I doubt he gets as much support from the fan base as he would have here at Bradley.
Time to go out and find a good 6-6 wing man and a 6-8 or bigger player that can rebound.

In April of the senior year for recruiting Class of 2011 -- you think there are kids sitting and waiting for a call that will commit to Bradley?
This can be seen as nothing but a huge loss..
Abell will be at Butler or a BCS school...

We need players at Bradley that want to be at Bradley like Coach Ford has said numerous times. Abell not coming to BU is not a shock to me and I’m sure Coach Ford has players in mind that he likes and can be very productive. Taylor Brown was a late signing that when healthy is arguably are best or second best player. No need to keep saying FALLOUT, there are NO guarantees in life. Remy has potential to be very good but nobody really knows what his basketball future holds. There have been numerous times that the "BEST" recruit in a class has turned into a decent player but not what people have built them up to be. It is time to stop the FALLOUT talk and look forward to a hopefully very BRIGHT BU future!

There has been some chatter amongst friends of mine living in Louisville, that with some of the turmoil going on with my Cardinals, and with Pitino's desire to pick up another solid guard for next year - he may try and swing by and pick him up. All speculation though largely.

You're right, this may happen.. and I hope they both have great careers.
And of course we want players who want to be a Brave. So it is the right thing to let RA go. But let's drink a dose of reality too. This is a big loss and we probably will not get a player of equal quality at this point.
