Hmmm, sounds like he is still undecided. Maybe he's got a good idea which way he is leaning, but wants to firm things up. Not really sure which way he is leaning right now.
I imagine people will be checking in here feverishly all day tomorrow!
I agree that there is a positive lean to his message, but I have seen many athletes say they are leaning one way, and then turn around and go somewhere else. That's why I will wait for the official announcement before celebrating his arrival or being disappointed if he chooses somewhere else.
I have a hard time discerning anything either positive or negative from those quotes. The one positive I see is that if he had ruled Bradley out at this point, he wouldn't wait to say so. That would indicate that our chances are at least decent. I guess we'll have to wait and see what he announced tomorrow.
Does anyone else find it amusing that 3 weeks ago not many (myself included) gave us much of any shot at keeping Remy? Now it will be a bit of a letdown if we don't get him because I just have a feeling that if it's got this far, that Geno can close the deal.
The message sounds incredibly neutral to me. Hoping for the best, but preparing to hear the worst.
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
The positive for me is that he met with Coach Ford and that he didn't come right out and say, "See Ya!". I know that doesn't mean he is coming, but will be interesting tomorrow.
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.
In sales I would call this a 50-50 shot but the area from his statement that intrigued me was this.
"He told me he plays a fast-pace type offense. They want to keep me but he said he??™s not the type of coach that will hold me if I don??™t want to go there. He wants the best for me."
I have to believe he was told he can expect plenty of playing time in a fun offense which will highlight his abilities. I like our chances and to better then 50-50 right now!

OH.....well that changes everything for me that Geno TOLD Remy to sleep on it and decide tomorrow. Here I was upset that RA didn't recommit right on the spot and thought that was a bad sign. Now I have an extreme amount of hope after reading that and realizing Geno didn't want him to decide yesterday. This could be a good day!
