  • Coach Ford to meet with Remy Abell in Louisville today (Tues 4/19)

    From a source in Louisville-
Remy Abell will meet with new Bradley coach Geno Ford and assistant Willie Scott on Tuesday in Louisville. It will be the first time Abell has met the new coaching staff since former coach Jim Les was fired in early March.

    Let's hope for good news!

I'm happy that the new coach is getting a shot to present his case.

Most definitely! Also good to hear Willie is going along on this trip! I'm really hoping they continue to sell Bradley, our facilities, and an uptempo style of play.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I'm sure this is a difficult trip for Coach Ford. Glad he is bringing Willie, too. Hopefully Remy is "our recruit to lose," because I can't imagine Geno and Willie not being able to put on a great meeting with the family.

Go get him solidified and make him a star!

this would be the 2nd most damaging piece of fallout......and recall, we also nearly landed Shelvin Mack -- and as is the case with Courtney Lee, we might have, had the new facilities been in place...
But this one would differ in that we already had Remy signed, sealed, and delivered.....

I know I just shared this with Mr. Demling in an email about how we have lost several recruits ie Shumpert, Buycks, Mack, Lee, but this one would hurt the most as it was self-imposed. But we shall see. I have feelers out and will be hawking Mr. Demlings blog all day. I am on vacation and am stuck in the house all day, so if anything breaks, I will be on it! I really do not want to lose this kid though!

I would like him to stay as well. I think Coach Ford and Willie will do their best to keep Remy.

If he chooses to move on, then so will BU.

Yes we will move on, however it would be easier not to.

I hope he decides that Bradley is still the best place for him .

JL and BU did just fine when players Granger, Tisby, and Tucker left when Mo was let go...

Did these hurt anymore than losing a recruit? Should BU have kept Mo?

Man, let the coaching change go! Enough allready..

We are past the coaching change. I just said it would be a lot easier not to move on meaning, he is a BU commit, so let's make sure his stays instead of moving on and letting him go.

Thanks AZ! I'm with ya' on that.

I was disappointed when Coach Mo went, but knew we had to move on. And yes, it took some time, but we got back on track after a few years.
I have a feeling it won't take long for Geno to get the program going strong.
