  • NBA- Top 2 seeds in West lose 1st game of playoffs

The #1 seed Bulls came close to losing yesterday to the #8 seeded Pacers.
But today has not been a good day for the top seeded teams in the Western Conference.

The #1 seeded San Antonio Spurs lost at home to the #8 Memphis Grizzlies 101-98. It was the first ever postseason win for the Grizzlies franchise.-

The Spurs played without Manu Ginobili, but looked a liitle old and slow.

And the #2 seeded Lakers just lost to the #7 seeded New Orleans Hornets 109-100.

The Lakers also looked a little slow, and other than Kobe, most of the highly paid Lakers stars did not play well. Chris Paul was the best player on the court.

The Bulls should consider themselves very lucky then!

I can see the Lakers getting bounced somewhere along the line. I would be very surprised if it was in the first round, but you never know. They have looked very average at times this year.

Another good game- the #6 seeded Knicks are currently leading the #3 seeded Celtics 75-73 with under 5 minutes left in the game.

The Bulls took the Pacers best shot Saturday and still pulled out the win. I still expect the Bulls to win the series 4-0 or 4-1.

The Celtics pulled out the win 87-85 after trailing the Knicks much of the game.

The final NBA Playoff game of the day has #5 Denver leading at #4 Oklahoma City 33-24 after 1 quarter.
