First Bulls game I have watched this year. Could you sense the unbelievable frustration in the UC as the game went on?

Bulls win game 2 -- play Thursday in Indiana

Derrick Rose still showing he's a stud and the clear MVP candidate while the other near-candidates like Manu, Kobe, and Dwight Howard are all losng their first round home games!

Can you imagine the different scenario if, in the 2008 draft, if the Bulls had taken Michael Beasley with their #1 pick instead of Rose??
There were people saying that the Bulls shoulda taken Beasley!

Here's some info and it may help explain why the Pacers' Darren Collison is so incredibly motivated to play well against Derrick Rose...as if he has something to prove....

In 2008, when Collison was a junior at UCLA and UCLA was 35-4 making the Final Four -- although they were trounced and eliminated by Rose & Memphis...... but Collison flirted with going in he 2008 NBA Draft. He was All Pac 10 and 3rd Team All American...averaged 14.5 ppg, 4 asst per game, and hit 52.5% of his 3-pointers!!

BUT -- when he tested the waters....he was told repeatedly by the experts that the 2008 draft was so strong in point guards and shooting guards (led by Rose, Mayo, Westbrook, Eric Gordon, Jerryd Bayless, Courtney Lee..)
and that Collison was too small and needed an extra year in college...

So -- he returned to UCLA, figuring to improve his stats a bunch with the extra year of development -- and instead many of his stats his senior year at UCLA, were actually down a bit (scoring, rebounding, steals, more turnovers, and a huge drop-off in his 3-pt shooting to just 39%).

Thus with the perceived lack of development in that extra year -- his stock DROPPED and he then ended up going with the 21st pick in 2009 -- way lower than he had hoped to go...

Some have said he still, in part, holds a grudge against Derrick Rose for what amounts essentially to a multimillion loss in income (& prestige) thus far in his career......
