Who is looking at the fax machine for LOIs? Are you going start a sticky thread so we can keep track all day? Do any of our potential recruites have a press conference scheduled?
PEORIA, Ill. -- Although the Bradley men's basketball team is preparing for Saturday's season-opener versus DePaul at Carver Arena, the Braves turned their attention to the more distant future today with the signing of four recruits for the 2007-08 season. High school seniors Will Egolf (Juneau, Alaska/Juneau H.S.), Sam Maniscalco (Chicago, Ill./St. Patrick H.S.) and Anthony Thompson (Houston, Texas/Klein Forest H.S.) join junior college transfer DeAaron Williams (Peoria, Ill./Limestone H.S.) to comprise Bradley's four-man class of early signees announced by fifth-year Braves head coach Jim Les today.
Here is a breakdown of the conferences and the recruits they signed. Again, as usual, the Missouri Valley failed to sign any player from the Top 100 list of high school players. The Big 10, which had done poorly the past few years, lead all conferences with 19 players from the Top 100. From this disparity, how is it possible for the MVC to compete with the Big 10 and other power conferences?
The deadline for this early signing period ends tomorrow (Wed. 11/15). It looks like there won't be any more announced signings for Bradley this fall. So we have at least 1 scholarship still available for the spring signing period. Here are the dates--
