Anyone familiar with the Harlem Globetrotters, also knows that the touring team (the Washington Generals) the Globetrotters beat up on literally thousands of times was captained and later coached by a Philadelphia legend ball player named Herman Louis "Red" Klotz.
There is a push to get Red into the HOF despite his impossible to break record of over 13,000 career losses as a coach!
Actually Red was a player on the old Baltimore Bullets of 1948, which won the World Championship, and a grad of Villanova.
He also won an ABL title with the old Philadelphia Sphas and two city championships at Southern High
Ex-BU great Ray Ramsey also played for the Bullets in 1949.
