I watched about half the Braves' games in '95-'96 when attending IWU and vaguely remember a bobcat. Guess there was a lot more to pay attention to that season other than the mascot.

2nd, I loved the black jerseys when we had the black out. I dont want them to replace the red jerseys as our away color, but to have that option as an alternate jersey is nice.Comment

Your memory may be better than mine. By that time, after my kids were pretty grown up, I never paid much attention to the Bobcat. I do recall talking to Ken about the Bobcat on a couple occasions, and he strongly disliked it and was instrumental in it's demise.Comment

That bobcat was plain embarrassing and that is the main reason I ever worry about BU having another mascot! For the record, I’m slightly open to the gargoyle and squirrel mascot ideas that have bounced around, but I’m still darn scared about how it might turn out.
I do like having the option of the black uniform and don’t care for the Nike uniforms all that much. I also like the Bradley script as well and would like to see that more.Comment

I don't oppose blacks on OCCASION. No MVC contests, though (Except the ISU game and if we should play ISU in STL.) I'd MUCH rather see a throwback than a black uni, though.
