But of course it would be fun to be there, though I will take a couple of Valley championships and an NCAA Tournament win or two to start.

    I'm with ya there

My GF who did not really care who won and is from the east coast said,"what are these reffs doing? It looks like they are calling the game differently for Butler then UCONN." She said it right after the foul, steal and dunk from Lamb!

Can't wait for the analysis of this game. Everyone's calling it the worst game ever. Digger Phelps is sounding like, well, Digger Phelps.

Not to shabby at all, but they did miss an awful lot of open 3's. Make just four more and we aren't having this conversation. Plus, many of those 3 point misses for Butler were not challanged. But as they say, "you live by the three, and you die by the three".

I don't know.....the refs didn't miss all those shots...it was a pretty well called game really....when you see some of those teams up close they are just huge...UCONN was so much bigger all the way around

Well in all fairness, the CBS crew came down pretty hard on UConn as well. But at the same time, you know Digger and the rest are all glad that UConn pulled this out. Not much else you can say.

hey...if it was 2 BCS teams playing it would have been the worst championship game. It wasn't a very well played game...mainly in the shooting area..no sense to deny it.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm sure the BCS favoring pundits would have spun this game in a bit of a more positive direction had a mid-major team not crashed the party again this year.

facts are facts though....no team shoots over 40%.....a game like this is ugly regardless of who is playing

here's the thing though...UCONN starts 3 freshman, a soph, and Kemba who all could be back next year...wow

Well that will make it a bit harder for the mids next year. But still great to get two into the Final Four. Now one of these years they just have to finish the job.

I've seen about 10 tournaments or so and this was by FAR the worst championship game I've ever seen.

I kinda doubt Kemba comes back after this year.

This was easily the most poorly played game I have ever seen on this stage. Awful shooting, a complete lack of control by officials, and no adjustments by the coaches, except maybe a small one by Calhoun.

I don't know if the officials lacked control....they let them play which is what everyone usually wants.....there some non calls that I thought were fouls but when you saw the replay it was usually the right call....er non call I guess..

And Calhoun definitely made some offensive changes in the second half with Lamb and Walker coming off baseline screens for short jumpers...the thing is when you shoot that bad as both teams did everything looks ugly...just saw where you said small change by Calhoun......when you think about it though UCONN really didn't need to make any changes...they just need to make some shots...same with Butler really
