This is shocking news to see. I don't know if there was ever mutual interest, but I find it hard to believe that if BU did indeed contact Johnson he would turn it down and then see Fairfield as a better job.

            Nice hire by Fairfield!
From what I have read, the speculation for Johnson's salary was around the $200k mark at Princeton. It appears from some of the articles that Johnson doubled his current salary at Fairfield. Yet, we are checking in with a reported salary of $700k... hmmm........
            Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Maybe it's not about salary, but that he wanted to stay on the east coast ... ?

this one will slap them in the face like a cold fish..

the two guys getting the most talk as replacement at Princeton are (their current 4-year assistant with no head coaching experience) Brian Earl & Bill Carmody...
and even that stuns me that their guy leaves for Fairfield, and they think they have the power or prowess to lure a Big Ten coach away and land him at Princeton??

                Dream on!!!
