  • Missouri to hire Miami's Frank Haith

Missouri boosters can't believe this is the best they could do-
Missouri to hire Miami's Frank Haith as hoops coach

Haith's record in 7 years as head coach at Miami is 129-101, and his teams have made the NCAA just once. They were 21-15 this season, but just 6-10 in the ACC.
In his 7 years, Miami has never finished with a winning conference record, and they have averaged over 14 losses per year.
Here are Miami's records in Haith's 7 seasons at Miami-

In retrospect, I bet they wish they would have gone hard after Cuonzo Martin.

ANY current MVC coach would have been a better hire!

This hire makes no sense what so ever. People in Columbia are not happy about this either, nor are the people in Northeast MO.

Mizzou basketball just went back to being irrelevant ala the Quinn Snyder era.....

Get this -- one of the members of their Board of Curators...
their equivalent of the Board of Trustees...

says he is stunned...that the first he had heard of this hire was reading it in the newspaper...

He believes this should have been discussed with the board before going down..and that this isn't the first time AD Mike Alden has run afoul of the Board...

He even says it simply cannot happen without Board approval...
"Missouri's curators must approve a potential deal with Haith, whom a source
close to the search committee acknowledged late Sunday had accepted an
offer. Numerous other media outlets also reported Haith had taken the job."

"David Wasinger, a member of Missouri's Board of Curators who said that the
first he'd heard about Haith was in the Post-Dispatch on Monday morning.

As he prepared for a curators meeting to be conducted by telephone from
University Hall in Columbia at 7:45 p.m. tonight, Wasinger said, "The board is
going to have a lot of questions."
