  • Butler/VCU

No shock here, but a real close game with about 12 minutes to go. Butler up 44-43 at the under 12 timeout. It will probably go down to the wire. I am rooting for Butler as I feel their experience will give them the best shot at winning the national championship, and it would be nice for them to win the whole thing this year.

I have to agree with you Bravesfan but it is fun to watch how VCU plays. I'd have to believe that Butler's style will match up better against either KY or CT.

How about the video coverage from CBS? It looks like they are experimenting in this game. I hate that far away angle shot they go to.

Tough physical game but Butler proved to be too much for this years' darlings as Butler wins 70-62. I thought Butler just wore VCU out and their relentlessness on defense took VCU out of their comfort zone. Hopefully the Bulldogs complete their journey this time and win it on Monday

One of the great things to see about Butler is that there are no excuses that the same cannot happen with us. The foundation has been built and now it will take a person that can build a system which can take advantage of what BU offers.

Well SFP, we just saw how defense wins games in championship rounds. And now we get to see if Butler's style will match up against KY or CT now that Butler has a chance to finish what they started last year!

Who would have thought they would be back in the finals after they started 13-9 and lost to the likes of Youngstown St and Evansville?! It just goes to show you that the selection committee needs to look at the whole body of work and not just one or two aspects of a team when it comes to tournament selections.

And something tells me even Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas amongst others have a new found respect for this bunch!

The ironic thing about that is that I always thought Mark Few and Gonzaga would be the first non-BCS team aside from Memphis to make the Final Four. But now three other coaches have done it before him, and you're right, if they can do, so can we!

They are going to need to play this way to wear out either Kentucky or UConn, and yes, hopefully the game does not come down again to a desperation shot that has less than a 50% chance of making it.
