only 1 random source said there was mutual interest between OK and Weber.

All Weber has said is that he got a phone call.

he got a phone call from Oregon last year, he got a phone call from Tennessee (and pitched Cuonzo (sp) Martin)

to go to a worse program with your best recruiting class ever coming in next year....would be the dumbest move in coaching history

If you don't want Sammy, you must not watch much basketball. He would be our MVP next season easy.

I was a huge fan of Sammy's. He has tremendous abilities, however, that doesn't change the fact that he wants nothing to do with Bradley basketball, and as coach ford says, if they don't want us, we don't want them.

We can agree to disagree on this one, especially easily. Would he have been our leader? Yes, but he chose a different path. He took an emotional decisions and as coach said burned a few bridges. I'm betting one of them was a bridge to far.

For his sake he better hope BAM does not split.

Weber isn't going anywhere. But even if he did leave Illinois, Sammy would have more than a dozen BCS offers to choose from. In fact he had to trim his list of suitors down to 10 to turn in to Bradley to get his release.

There is nothing that shows us that S.M. would be our best player, we do not even know if he will be close to 100% because of his injuries, the only problem I have with him is he came here to play for BU and try and win a championship, he is leaving unfinished business and also leaving his teammates; as team captain I do not agree that this was a good decision.

I disagree; if TB is cleared, I think he can be much more of a difference maker than SM.

Anyway the point is moot; Sammy ain't coming back.

How would he have any idea who is interested in him? Isn't that a tampering issue?

That is if they talked to him directly but we know now days these kids have handlers that do the bidding. Also, it could be that his dad made a few phone calls, word gets out and the dance begins.

I agree with you on Taylor being better overall, he is also a much better 3 point shooter then people realize, he can be our huge difference maker next season provided he gets cleared to play, with him on the floor our team can be a top 4 team.

SM was full set on Illinois 100 percent all the way. He was never "considering" 10 schools..

From a source pretty close to Sammy, I heard that Sam did consider other schools (beside Illinois), and talked to several other coaches. Illinois was always in his top 2 or 3, but there were a couple others that were close.

And there are ways that other schools can let a potential transfer know they are interested without committing any violations. In the case of Sam, it occurred by those schools contacting his AAU coaches, and in the case of DSE, it was primarily his high school coach.

This would be extremely ridiculous....and any Illinois fan that says they would be happy is a ****ing *****. Best recruiting class in history coming in next year and they want him to leave.

I agree it's ridiculous. Don't know what you're calling them, but not every fan likes their coach.

                                I D I O T S lol

I wonder how many would risk the recruiting class breaking up to see Weber leave and our program come to a halt.

Bad timing right now...kind of like it was for another coach recently IMO
