Hopefully this is the start of the coverage about GF.
    Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

      This is a good start!

.........He met with the Bradley players for about an hour Sunday night and received positive reviews, notably from sophomore guard Dyricus Simms-Edwards, who last week was pushing for a release from his scholarship to explore options elsewhere.

"I loved him," Simms-Edwards said Monday of the meeting. "Absolutely loved him."

Ford recruited Simms-Edwards, from Washington, and redshirt freshman big man Jordan Prosser, of Eureka, when they were in high school. So they start out with a degree of familiarity with the new coach.........

Great news! Hopefully that ends the DSE asking for a release discussion and we can focus on bringing in Remy!

I talked with several players, and a couple told me they believed everyone was happy with the new coach and doubted anyone else will leave.

However, I did not talk to every one, and DSE did not say for sure what he'll do. I am not sure he is ready to make a final decision.

It's good to hear that the players are happy with Coach Ford. If everyone stick around that's a good first step to having success in the near future.

This is great to hear! Keeping DSE and JP will help greatly in keeping/bringing in recruits, it really is a snowballing effect.

I hope the players you talked to were right. I think we would be getting INCREDIBLY lucky if we only lose SM - especially considering how JL was let go. And while I personally love Sammy and would want him to finish as a Brave, JP and DSE are probably more important for our long term success.

It's not an easy spot for the kids or Coach Ford. I'm sure Geno will work with whoever shows up.

I am greatly encouraged by your first line.
