....he'll even be thrilled at the crowds at the Renaissance Arena

..according to the NCAA investigation, Senderoff was definitely (knowingly) involved in many of the impermissible phone calls while he was at IU - but he's learned from it...and won't get caught again

According to Dr. Cross this morning, Coach Ford was the ONLY person offered the job as Bradley HC...so there was a lot of misinformation out there.

Yes sir. It is crystal clear.

since you seem so trusting of the PJS and other media sources......then add this to the mix...FWIW -- personally I think we are playing word games here..
I think everyone knows that Jeter, Sutton, and other got some sort of OFFER but so be it -- Cross is certainly free to say what he wants....

Kirk Wessler said that after several candidates turning Bradley's offer down...
"They’re in the middle of the crossover possibilities and dominoes now..
Two confirmed interviewees, Rob Jeter of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Scott Sutton of Oral Roberts
Bradley has interviewed BYU associate head coach Dave Rice
              ...Bradley has been
offering a package worth upwards of $750,000 annually."

              Then Dave Reynolds said...
" Oral Roberts men's basketball coach interviewed with BU last weekend in Denver and declined an
offer to become the next Bradley coach because he wasn't sure of the fit, according to a source close to the Sutton family"

              The Trib reported..
" the Braves top choice, Wisconsin Milwaukee head coach Rob Jeter, spurned a big
offer this week and chose to stay with the Panthers"

              a Tulsa reported also said...
"Sutton interviewed for that school's (Bradley's) opening last weekend in Denver and rejected an
              offer earlier this week."

and this sources says the same...
"Oral Roberts coach Scott Sutton turned down an
offer believed to be worth more than $600,000 last week."

I don't care who was offered what and turned it down. I think we got someone better than those guys. Maybe it was just meant to work out this way.

I'm sure some people will choose to believe whatever they want. I heard the Bradley AD state on radio this morning that Geno Ford was the ONLY person to be offered the job as Bradley HC, and I provided a quote from the paper that says the same thing. This is what I choose to believe...no matter how many links to other "sources" of information are provided.

Now...let's get on with the business at hand! I wish Coach Ford nothing but the best and hope he can get this program to where it deserves to be...at the top of the MVC!!

Because of the situation, we'll never know who was given the opportunity to coach the Braves. I do fully believe that financial packages were discussed with candidates and that it can be the legal splitting-of-hairs that determine what an offer is... (though verbal offer, to me, would be included in the statement Cross made that no other offers were made)

                    But we'll never know.

So let's just realize that and keep going on the excitement that we have direction (phone just autocorrected that to "erection" -- glad I caught that!). What I found interesting was Cross's mention that he will be meeting with the assistants and that no assistants place here is set in stone. Hope Willie stays though!

                      • I'll be hesitant. I'm not excited, but I recognize that there may be potential. I see two weak points with our new coach:

                        1) Unproven recruiting - Not impressed with the incoming verbals to KS
                        2) Sorry, but Les wears the suit better.

Not if you're under 30 and you like video games - I loved it. That's one of the best RPG games of all time and was one of the best graphically on SNES (came out right near the end of games being released).

It's great to start talking about ridiculous stuff like this again. Such a weight off everyone's shoulders ...
                            Go Braves!

                              • Welcome to BU Coach Ford!

I'm quite pleased with this hire, especially since I was beginning to doubt we'd get someone that's had this kind of success at this level. I'm looking forward to seeing what transpires with the coaching staff and players and as always, can't wait for the next Bradley basketball season.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
