  • new asst coach equally important

does anyone else agree that the asst coaches that come in with the head coach are equally important? I have not seen this mentioned at all and I think it is as important as the head coach, when an interview is done, who comes with them?

i absolutely agree with you Samd2. Asst coaches are integral to the success of the program...but like eb98, not sure how it plays into hc search/decision.

I believe the way it factors into the head coaching search is whether or not the HC has complete control of Asst's. Most places they do. Some places they do not...

are you saying at bu a head coach wouldn't have a say in who his asst coaches are? If so, what leads you to say that?

4 of Jim Les' nine seasons at BU, including this past year, he was not allowed to have the coaches of his own choosing

I believe the asst. jobs are just as important because every good program has great asst"s , When Molinari first arrived he had good asst. coaches and the team did fairly well, after 3 of them moved on the team struggled, same thing with Les in that the team had their best season with C.Buescher as his asst.
