I don't believe all the negative starments, half truths, rumors and inuendos are not doing our University any good. All of us have views on things based on who knows what since none of know who's in the official loop. All the negativity is uncalled for. We have an administration that is working very hard to take our University forward. This administration has done more to get Bradley moving forward than anyother in the recent past, by far. We have a totally new campus vision being executed with impressive new facilities for not only athletics, but for the education of our students as well. Yes there have been changes in the athletic program, but I can certainly see the merit in doing so. We have significantly upgraded our coaches. We should not have stood pat on any of them, but rather we should have made changes and we did. President Glasser has led the repositioning of Bradley, as she should and she has my support because she had no other choice. As far as Jim Les was concerned, I was a strong supporter until the very end. What became apparent to me was he took it as far as he could. More time wasn't the answer. I will not use this site to list the things I observed to come to this conclusion. I think he's a good man and worked hard on behalf of the University, however he couldn't get us to where we want to be.
My suggestion is to stop all the negativity. Give opinions on candidates, etc., but there are no bad people here. Why don't we wait for them to do their job and then pass judgement if you want to as I'm sure some will. Think about how all this presents itself to a candidate as a reflection of our University. Some on this site are not helpful in presenting Bradley University as the special place that I believe it is. Wouldn't it be just as easy to spend all this time on pointing out the special place that Bradley is?
Thanks for listening as this is one man's view who cares deeply about his alma mater.
