Makes sense if he's in line for the Mizzou job.

"pulled out" because he thought he was "not the right fit"?? isn't this what Jeter, Monson, etc..all seem to keep saying??
but why wouldn't he wait to see if he gets the Mizzou job ...or at least gets considered or interviewed???
Instead he's "withdrawing"...so that it seems now he's left himself in potential to miss two opportunities.

Got to laugh for anyone trying to get a handle on the situation. Every event seems to have aspects that can be interpreted several ways. Sutton pulls out of consideration at Bradley, but, according to the article, he did the same thing at Wichita State and TCU before ths year when he was positioned to become head coach at both of those schools during their respective searchs.

Maybe the search firm is doing him a favor?

Cross another name off the list. Looks like the search firm will be working a little overtime!

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

This one makes a fair amount of sense. Sutton has done enough at ORU to merit attention at "big time" programs. It, at least, is a lot less potentially confusing than Rob Jeter making a similar choice.

That doesn't keep my worried about the new hire fan-o-meter from ticking a little higher though.
