The spirit of your post is refreshing.

Honest question here...I thought KK left of his own volition. Is that not the case? He interviewed for the FGCU job and upon accepting was going to honor his contract with BU through the end of May.

His now former employer decided they'd rather just part ways and from my recollection it was mutual.

      Did I miss something?

He was informed his contract at Bradley would not be renewed, and thus he sought the other job. I guess it could be seen as "firing", or not depending on how you look at it.

What is wrong with this aspect in the corporate world, is that this usually leads to a lack of creativity for new ideas, inefficient use of your staff, and employee turnover.

Won't panic until the 15-30 day window post JL has expired. 74% of those responding to an earlier poll question felt it would take more than 15 days to name a replacement.

Potential coaching candidates may be intimidated by the strong personalities on this Forum and don't want to face their music if they don't meet their expectations once on the job! This Forum is way tougher than the PJS

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. This statement is so true. Remember that some of the changes changes were made during the MONTHS we went without an Athletic Director. Or when she made KK a lame duck.

I agree that, if given a real chance, Cross has the potential to do good things at Bradley. I also agree that he may not have known what was ahead of him when he came here. However if he we end up going through as many AD's as Eastern Kentucky had to.... that would be bad.

I learned a long time ago to use IMO. I know from past personal experience about the Urinal Star's truthfulness.

I don't know anything about the inner workings of anything, but I hope they make a good hire. Everyone is watching.

And I believe in there is an implied guarantee of a conference championship with the next coach?

If they do, they are not the man for the job.

Has anybody heard anything at all regarding Todd Lickliter and the BU position? I seriously would've thought that his name would've been on a short list of "statement" candidates. I know that his overall record and accomplishments at Butler have been mentioned here before (as well as his failures at Iowa) - just seems to me that he'd be a good get. I hear that he may be in the running to replace Dave Balza at FGCU - and while I could understand his desire to be in a beautiful location along Florida's gulf coast, I would think that Lickliter is a competitor and would have a hard time adjusting to basketball at that level. I wouldn't suspect that he's hurting for money, but FGCU was only paying Balza $105,000 per year!
