Sounds great to me... Now the pressure is on Future Walk-On to get the job!
      Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

So if I went to play college ball, left early to the nba, and wanted to apply for the coaching position.....would I not be allowed since I do not have a college degree?

I feel like he didn't take my request seriously.
Are you giving up on the PGA?
What part of illegal don't you understand?

FYI: This isn't 1980 and times have changed. The BU name doesn't carry the same weight any more. It's Peoria, IL and the MVC, not a destination job. Either you market the HC job as a lauching pad and a great place to build a guys resume or get ready to bring has-been retreads like Merfeld or Giacoletti.

            That explanation doesn't cut it.

Then why were there almost 200 people applying or inquiring about the job?
The Bradley job should be highly attractive to almost anyone. There is more to the problems we are having, and maybe the fine journalists at the local newspaper will eventually dig enough to come up with facts.

It wouldn't take much to call a couple of the right people to find out.

              NIU carries more weight?? Baloney...

I want Bradley to succeed as much and more than anyone -- just as I have since before many of our current readers were born...
We need a top coach in place ASAP....and we don't nee any more embarrassing situations or issues made public.

The longer this goes on the more concerned I get that we are going to end up with a Giacoletti or worse, most of us know why other coaches are turning BU down, has to do with not letting the new coach run his own program without some inside meddling , I have no confidence that we will end up with the right person now as even NIU has gotten their man before us.

That is a just a very disgusting & depressing view of our current situation, Boiler and real fan.... (but unfortunately accurate)

                    another day passes

we still have no coach and we still have no candidates that are close {that we know of} we still have heard nothing from the admin at BU and all of this going on while other schools are hiring people and some major transfer talent and recruits are not even considering BU because we don't have a coach, I can only hope that our coach is still coaching and that is why we are where we are now. If he is not coaching right now then we are screwing up bad while several players and recruits are looking at their options.

if anyone from the admin is reading this then please release some info on the progress please
Lets surrender ..... Chesty Puller.... "H*$$ NO !!! we have the enemy right where we want them they can't hide"

I agree DC however, I have not seen the PJS do anything positive in the way of attracting anyone to BU. and i don't expect they will. However I bet we get a negative spin on how the process is going, wait... we already got one of those a few days ago. Media is powerful,
