  • David Kapman re: NIU job

Ray Giacoletti withdraws and NIU now focusing on Paul Lusk.
Maybe Giacoletti has his eyes on a different job?

Tell you how reliable internet info is. I read the opposite a half hour ago. Oh well, I would like Lusk but not the withdrawal. He may be OK, but several people have been negative towards him. I would be a little worried if he was our choice.

I'd have no problem hiring this guy. No problem whatsoever. If he's highly regarded by Mark Few, that's plenty for me.

Haha, my guess is we would agree more than disagree on most things BU, save the whole coaching thing...

Lusk must not have been seriously considered by our administrators - there's NO WAY he would take the NIU job over BU. I really think that prior D1 head coaching experience was a prerequisite that MC and JG established from the start.

Being that strict is not a good move IMO... time will tell.

I would tend to agree. Plenty of quality assistants out there looking for their first big shot.

By the way, not that it is a big deal, but it is Dave Kaplan.

                            I'll third these comments!
                            Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
