What top players or pro-caliber players is he responsible for recruiting? Most coaching bios list all the kids he's ever been associated who make it to the pros --
(recall the Ritchie McKay bio claiming credit for making obscure DG into an NBA player!)
I am not yet willing to doubt the claim he's a great recruiter...but before I accept it, please let's see some evidence, some names, etc...
But even in Jeter's bio, the only players it even mentions as kids he's handled or recruited are Ja'Rob McCallum (a 7ppg SG at UW-M), Adrian Tigert (career 9ppg scorer), Chris Hill (6ppg scorer).
So am I missing something...top recruiter, lead recruiter, lots of connections...?
if all this is true - then give me a name......who has he landed that anyone from Illinois has ever heard of?
In the same interval -- Jim Les recruited at least EIGHT kids who DID or who would have gotten to 1200 - 1600 career points at Bradley!
I can't find on recruit connected to Jeter who even came close.
(Cellus, POB, Ruff, JC, Sammy, Warren, TB, DSE)
(I dug a bunch to see if Jeter's name was ever associated with Alando Tucker (Lockport) but it was never mentioned in any recruiting article from that time.)
