Message Board
Their message board is all over this rumor and they are not very happy!! They say it would be a lateral move but one guy says he biggest complaint at the school has been facilities...They also do not think BU has the money to hire him and buy out the JL contract...It is funny how all fans look at their school and conference and defend it to the end i love the loyalty...

I agree with amckillip on this one. He would not be a bad choice/may very well be a very good coach at BU but I really don't see why we would go on this voyage to swap JL for Jeter. There is a high cost involved and I don't really see much of (any?) upgrade.
I'd support him if he is named but I really don't like the cost/benefit on this one.houstonbrave

UWM fans seem to be disappointed Jeter may leave.
I think he would be a decent hire, Bo Ryan tree with decent HC results. I think Sydney may be a better choice, but I do like Jeter overall better than Fife or Howard..

I can see who ever we hire it will be crititsized no matter who it is!! I think this guy has done very well at a mid-major with no facilities or money to speak of in a conference we say is lower than the valley...I will ask you this question how well have we done against the horizon league in the JL era? I really do not know that answer but it does not seem to me that it has been great job!! But i did not do the research only speculation!! You say he hasn't finished better than fourth with his players.. So what!!! He still had to coach X's and O'S..Take a look at this from his BIO.... After starting his head coaching career with a league title and an NCAA Tournament win, Jeter has rebuilt the Milwaukee roster back into a league-championship contender. He has increased the number of wins in each of the last three seasons and, this past year, directed the Panthers to just the 10th 20-win season in school history.
In fact, the 20 wins this past year are tied for the sixth-most in school history. This was also the second 20-win season in five years under Jeter, making him one of just three coaches in school history to direct two different teams to 20-win campaigns. Plus, Jeter has now moved to 82 career wins, the fifth-most wins by a coach in school history.
Jeter started his head coaching career with a bang. He led his team to its third-straight Horizon League regular season title, its second-straight league tournament crown and its second-straight berth in the NCAA Tournament in 2005-06. Once in the tourney, Jeter guided the Panthers to a first-round win over Oklahoma before UWM was eliminated by eventual national champion Florida in the second round in Jacksonville. This year a birth into the NIT
