I think it would be a blemish on the program if he was ever here. I would watch the winning and may even enjoy some games, but I would always be waiting for the day it all ended and we went on probation.
Again this is just talk for fun because I know neither side would be interested.

I would hire Pearl in a second. What he did at Tenn was stupid but he was clean at UW-M. Everyone that keeps thinking BU is going to get a great up and coming coach or a coach with a great pedigree is fooling themselves. BU is going to have to take a flyer on someone and hope to strike gold. Either that or take someone with a little baggage. I think I'm comfortable with Pearls baggage.

This might solve part of getting students to the games Remember when he joined the student section and painted his body orange for a lady vols game hahahahaha, not a sight I would want to see, but I love the enthusiasm that he brings.
Ethically would I want him, no. From a basketball standpoint(throwing out all of the ethics and what not ) how could you not want him.

It will be interesting to see where he lands.???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

everyone deserves a second chance when a mistake is made, Pearl made a mistake. I am sure he has learned from it. I would love to see him at BU. But I am not sure the powers that be would feel the same way.
He would for sure be one of my top 3 choices from the names I have heard so far.Lets surrender ..... Chesty Puller.... "H*$$ NO !!! we have the enemy right where we want them they can't hide"

To be honest if kick the tires and see if I could figure he learned his lesson. the violations are less than actual pay to his players, yes? Theres a lot of upside... And I for one could care less about the finger that'd stick in illinois's eye.

IMO, this is a situation that could easily pay for itself. If I'm BU and I'm impressed in the interview, which I'm sure they would be, I would look at the financial aspect this way:
1. Yes, Bruce Pearl is going to cost more than your average cost, probably quite a bit more.
2. He's gotten Tenn to the NCAA's six straight times, count that revenue BU. SIX. (yes it's with Tennessee BUT...wait for #3)
3. We've got new facilities that are supposedly top 50 in the country, that combined with Bruce's rep and BU's rep could be healthy for incoming recruits.
4. If Bruce was head coach, like others have mentioned, the seats would be much more filled, and much more regularly.
That being said, I understand that us getting a high profile coach might be unlikely but I think it's something that would pay for itself in the long run (or short run).
To me it beats grabbing an "up and coming" / "diamond in the rough" . That guy isn't going to create a buzz with the fans or the recruits until he wins. I say get a winner now.WE WANT HEEMSKERK!
