That is one of the few moves that would cause me to stop supporting the program and university. He is a first class fat scum bag. Dave Bliss is one of the few choices that would be worse.

+1 lmao
I seriously doubt this would happen!
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
If BU wanted an NCAA field office built right next to campus, then yes.
Otherewise, no.
Although wouldn't Pearl have to be on his best behavior? And wouldn't he have to win big by doing so to restore his credibility?
Hmm.
I have little doubt we'd win big if he were here. And I think those of us who have ripped him to shreds over the years (myself included) would probably come to love him, his enthusiasm, his love for the kids, and his personability at public events, BSS events, etc. He'd wear that red blazer proudly and have the Civic Center packed to the gills every night. He's done it everywhere he's been, and he'd have a reputation to restore.
But I would gravely fear what the fallout would be once he left. BU can't really afford any minor NCAA violations, let alone major ones. So it still has to be a 'no'.

Interesting views. I wondered what some would think. I just listened to some "analysts" who said Pearl will definitely move to a new job either this offseason or next.
It will be interesting to see where he lands.

I was going to say - Dave Bliss covered up a murder. There's no one worse than that. I would rate Pearl above Kelvin Sampson and John Calipari - I view them both as much worse.
And for those who are so adamant that they'd be done with the program if he came, I think that most would probably change their views if BU was in the top 25 under Pearl's guidance.
But as JD said - Good thoughts by all. And I agree that it's something we won't have to worry about.
Considering what he did to UofI with Deon Thomas back in the day, I'd be surprised if people let him into Illinois. And since a large amount of Bradley fans adore UofI as well, it won't happen.
I remember when I jokingly posted the Bruce Pearl idea the day Les got fired, I was accused of trolling!

Really do not care if Pearl ratted on U of I. I do believe though that he is one heck of a coach and his players love playing for him. He's a lot like Huggins but not as thuggish. As a BU coach. Just not going to happen. Peoria is way to conservative for him.
