  • New NCAA Tourney TV coverage and new Sunday night schedule

How did everyone like the new NCAA TV coverage with 4 networks? I think it was a big improvement and was great to see every game in its entirety. Very glad they made this change and not being told which game you would be shown. I think it helped a lot for channel flipping to miss having to watch commercials all the time too.

In particular, the Sunday night schedule was great. All the games used to wrap up by about 6:30pm, but now games were not starting until after that and there were a total of 5 games tipping off 5pm or later on Sunday night. It was wierd to start slow on Saturday and Sundays now with only 1 game at a time on, but I think it was a big improvement.

Any other thoughts anyone has on this?

I liked it better overall. Just wish I was a little better with the remote. If I tried to watch more than 2 channels I was remote challenged. I wish they had a few more games scheduled during the day, and less later. That is just because I am an early worker and don't like having to stay up and watch the late games. I guess they don't schedule just for me.

The Sunday night schedule sure caught me by surprise. I was in Chicago for the games this weekend. I had no idea the Sunday games would start as late as 8:50 pm. If I would have known that I never would have went. I didn't get home until 2:30 am. The only good thing was VCU just dominated. Their band was something to see too....especially the band leader...he was rocking the house!

Yeah that was a very late schedule for the fans Canton. I didn't think about that. Probably the move to later games on Saturdays/Sundays is here to stay for the tournament.

I would have preferred the games to start at 12:30 PM and last game start at 7:30.
The late games on Sunday night were too late, and I can't get geared up to start watching hoops that early, with a 40 minute break or so until the next game. I guess I just won't watch the earliest game unless it really intrigues me. But that means that the next game won't start until after 2 PM, which is too late.
Yes, I really enjoyed having 3 games on at once. No Indy St. game on TV was disappointing (TruTV), but they didn't put up too much of a fight anyways.

That's too bad, as people on the east coast will have to stay up until midnight on Sunday. People gotta' work!
