I could be 100% wrong. Regardless of who bradley hires as the next coach, I will, like most fans, hope for the best. Again, this is only one new guy's opinion. Only went to Bradley in the early 90's and been a fan since before then, but that counts for zero with some people. Now excuse me, I must go back to the shallow end where my opinion and I belong.
Or at least, the ceiling with Jerrance is very high.

Just because he is a great recruiter at the U of I, means absolutely nothing at B.U.
Who ever we get had better be a great teacher, coach, and recruiter.
The two guys I like are Graves and Lusk.Go small or go home!

That said, I just like the pedigree and learning on the job that Graves, Lusk, and Muller have had to do for their positions...
Plus if I pluck Muller or Graves out, it's recognizable that they havent had the recruiting budgets that IL or Purdue have or the name recognition up until recently.
Furthermore, the 3 I mentioned come from a great background with well put in place systems that are more about recruiting to the system than who you recruit, thus I feel like any of the 3 would be a great choice.
That said, I am hearing Jeter's name quite a bit this morning

Because JL was an average recruiter, "average" teacher, but a poor motivator. How many times did we hear Jim himself say "they aren't buying in"?.... All the time, which means he could not motivate them to listen. If you get a better recruiter with perhaps equal teaching skills who can actually motivate the better players to listen and buy I'm, then I think there would be vast improvement

He was described as energetic, a great motivator, a guy who players would love to play for. But he was young, inexperienced and people didn't know about his x and o's. Miami interviewed him and said thanks but no thanks. Few days later the steelers hired him. Mike tomlin. Players today love these young motivating type of coaches. You can always get good assistants who know x's and o's.
I personally wouldn't mind JH over some of the other candidates mentioned. However, you're not going to sway the naysayers with an argument such as the one you stated.
