I think it is time we give him a chance and go with a youth movement. I think we'd all agree he'd be a great recruiter and great motivator, not sure on the x's and o's. But it can't get any worse than last place so let's get this done.

Welcome back to Peoria, Jerrance Howard!

His stock will increase if they beat Kansas tonight (and though the Illini lost, he still has to be a candidate schools are looking for) but he needs some help as well. I mean, recruiting can only take you so far. But I'll take anything above finishing cellar to start with, that's for sure. After a while, you should have your own products under your own system that could prove successful.

we are not ISUred! COME ON!
In any case, a JH hire would depend on him being able to hire awfully good assistant coaches who would do the X's and O's, game planning, player development...But that is what BU has had for the past 9 yrs....BUilding for the Future

The bottom line is you have to have talent. Howard can recruit for sure. I still think Weber is a good X and O guy, so Jerrance has surely benefitted from that. If you don't get him, you are going to have to beat him out for the best talent year after year in the state of Illinois. Once BU begins recruiting outside the state of Illinois, our chances of landing top-notch talent is reduced unless you have some kind of connection.

Here is a little story for u that don't want jh. a few years back there read an up and coming but very young assistant in the nfl. He was described as energetic, a great motivator, a guy who players would love to play for. But he was young, inexperienced and people didn't know about his x and o's. Miami interviewed him and said thanks but no thanks. Few days later the steelers hired him. Mike tomlin. Players today love these young motivating type of coaches. You can always get good assistants who know x's and o's.

Not sure I like newbies coming on the board and acting as if people are stupid for being a little scared of the hire.
Especially when telling us "Here is a little story" as if we are too stupid to know what we are looking at.

Who cares? lol, there are plenty of regular posters who are @$$es, he had an opinion, let him say it.
I like Jerrance. Arguing with some of my friends about why hiring Jerrance can work..
Don't like being talked down to, especially with bad grammar. Once again, this is Bradley, not ISU. We can speak in complete sentences.

I think Jerrance is a good guy -- worth discussing, I have no problem with scoping him out if interested...
but we have no evidence he has made himself available other than a post on one Illini board saying someone heard him say he was interested....that's even weaker than the false info on Fife...

I'll try to do better with my sentences during this post, then go back to my corner and wait a few years before wading into the deep end again. It is just my opinion, but I feel that if we were to look five or six years ahead, JH will have a more successful program than these other coaches that are being "considered.....allegedly". I could be 100% wrong. Regardless of who bradley hires as the next coach, I will, like most fans, hope for the best. Again, this is only one new guy's opinion. Only went to Bradley in the early 90's and been a fan since before then, but that counts for zero with some people. Now excuse me, I must go back to the shallow end where my opinion and I belong.
