BTW -- Stevens' name is already being discussed as a possible hire at Mizzou...but even if he doesn't go to Mizzou -- this guy thinks he will definitely take the next big opening that comes along...why wouldn't he -- it worked for Matta..

Well, mostly because he has a significantly better job than the one at Missouri.

And, I did find that Katz thing...

It's just barking up the wrong tree. It makes no difference if there are calls are not. Well, I suppose after another year if turning these things down, maybe the annoyance will go away a little bit next year

There is no comparison to the Creighton and Milwaukee jobs....none.

If Dana Altman, for example, had any chance of winning like you do at Butler (and when), he almost certainly wouldn't have left either.

There just isnt many places where you have access to success (and money) like that. Gonzaga is really the other. Not surprisingly, there is zero percent chance that Mark Few is leaving either.

Indy I usually more time then not respect and agree with your posts but if one of the top 20 programs come calling and want to pay him double, then he's gone and that goes for Few also. Let's not kid ourselves. I would not put Mizzou or the Arkansas in that category but if GT came calling or ND's job opened up, I'd have to believe he would have to consider it.

I don't intend to treat the next coach unfairly. Guess it would be better to say the Admin should be under the gun. Because of injuries, IMO, BU had a worst than expected season, great new facilities which I have never seen but posters on this board have convinced me they are state of the art, and a very good recruiting class, again IMO, should have been enough to give JL one more season.

I know that the recruits liked him and are sorry to see JL go, but I hope they wait to see who comes in because they will are going to have a better "coach" to play for at BU. Maybe the new guy will not be as likeable, but I'm confident he will be a better coach.
I'm a fan not a coach, so I don't know if JL was a good coach or not, but I know if your top 2 players miss the season, your record won't be as good as it should be. I too hope the recruits and the returning players wait and see what the coaching situation is before they make up their mind. I hope the new guy is likable and and hope he is a better coach than any coach in the country.
