It is true that student season ticket sales are up. I've heard from the BU Athletics Dept. and marketing people that sales are upwards of 400.
And it is true that the lower bowl is completely sold and they have multiple sections in the upper bowl reserved for students. BUT I think those numbers may be a little misleading because they sold a large number of season tickets over the summer to incoming freshman at orientation.
I think it's more a result of freshman gobbling up season tickets instead of people getting excited about BU hoops.
About Red Pride: I think it's a great idea, but, like you guys said before, I don't know if it's really helped generate excitement about all the sports. But I do think this is a step in the right direction. The marketing department is doing more this year than in years past to get students more involved.
