  • Jim Les sighting!

Hey....on Comcast Sportsnet....Ch 56 in Peoria....Jim Les is an analyst right now on a panel breaking down today's games. As he spoke, beneath his name was the title "Comcast Analyst." Interesting!

Nice! He can have a good career as an analyst if he wants.

This is actually very common for coaches who are still being paid off on their contract. They can earn extra money on top, stay in the loop of college basketball and typically do a great job because of their knowledge of the game. Worked out well for Steve Lavin, didn't it?

Just a couple days ago some on this board said this about Tom Crean for getting a TV gig...

"I'd call getting your face on TV during the NCAA Tournament a pretty good recruiting tool."

"This is a GREAT move on Crean's part. What better way to be in every potential recruits living room showing them your charisma and knowledge..... not to mention creating and enhancing your "brand"? Genius!"

So I guess that applies to Jim Les, too -- enhancing his brand, Genius, ....

For the record, I believe this agreement to appear on Comcast may have been made before Jim was fired.

Did not know that. But now they have an excuse to keep him on longer if he wants.
