IN State not doing the Valley any justice. Likely giving the talking heads more evidence that MO State shouldn't have got in. Syracuse currently putting the hammer down, up by 15 with 9 to go in 1st half.
Talking heads aren't even talking about a Mo State snub, which is an even bigger slap in the face.
Anyways, the most disastrous Valley season in a very long time is reaching a fitting end. I'm not sure even an appearance in MSG by MSU or WSU can save it.

Well this needs to be a wake up call for Doug Elgin. He needs to do everything in his power to get his teams to schedule up, regardless of whether he thinks they should do this without his urging. I don't care if the Valley wins the NIT, CBI and CIT. We can't lose our reputation as solid high mid-major conference. But I'm afraid we are right on the cusp of that, if we haven't lost it already.

My only comment about Indiana State is that they should wear the powder blues ALL THE TIME. Those unis are sweet.
Yeah, we seem to have had really older-looking unis the last few years. It's time to try something new. I liked our 2006 style uniforms.
They must have been lucky...
From what I've seen, Indy St. looking pretty decent.
I started watching when they were down 29-14. I imagine before then, it was pretty bad for the Sycs.
They should feel pretty good about being down by only 8 at the half to a very good 'Cuse team.
Good 3-pt. shooting has kept them in the game.
That would be Jake Odum....and he certainly has the look of a star in the Valley and maybe beyond.
In beating WSU and Missouri State in the Valley tournament, ISU blue put the defense clamps on in the second half. If they can do that and start doing better around the basket, this could get interesting.
The Syracuse big guy smiling for the camera before his free throw told me all I needed to know about how little respect or worry he has for the team he's playing against. I hope it's the Sycamores who are smiling at the end.

I still have hope. MVC!
While a victory by the Sycs would be nothing short of a miracle, I think losing by 10 or less would be something they could be proud of. I don't really see that happening either though, but we'll see!
And, yes, Jake Odum runs the team very well, and he plays like an upperclassman already - very high b-ball IQ and poised.

They definitely still have a shot, but I think MSU or WSU would have given Syracuse more trouble. Then again, neither would be a 14 seed.

I'm not so sure about that.
The committee did a horrible job of seeding this year. A Utah State team with a record of 30-4 gets a 12 seed, when they probably deserved a 5 or 6 seed. I think it would be very possible that MSU or WSU could have gotten a 14 seed.

No, I disagree. At worse they both get 13 seeds just by the fact that they finished ahead of ISU and each have about 5 or 6 more wins. Even 12 seeds would have been possible.
But lets not write the Sycamores off yet as they are giving Syracuse all they can handle right now!

Wichita may have gotten a better seed, just because of their strength of schedule, after playing teams like Uconn and San Diego St.
