Here are some results from Hutchinson, KS at the juco Nationals...

In game 1: Midland beat Chattanooga State 75-71.
Midland is ex-BU assistant Alvin Brooks III old school and one of their players might be familiar -- Ty Nurse was on Decatur Christian a few years back and is still trying to get to D-I. He's a PG and had 12 pts, 2 asst for Midland.
For Chattanooga, Phillip Jurick -- former 5-Star recruit who was sent packing by Bruce Pearl at Tennessee...came into the game averaging 11 ppg, 13 rpg (#2 Nationally!), 9.5 blocks per game (#1 Nationally and more that TWICE as many blocks per game as the guy who was 2nd nationall), and 70% FG shooting (2nd Nationally -min 4FG/gm).....and was a top candidate for juco Player of the Year, but was 0-3 and scoreless, with 5 rebounds and fouled out in only 11 minutes of playing time.....

Game 2: Wabash Valley beat Waycross 75-57.
Wabash's best player D'Mitri Riggs did not play -- no reason given...
In Riggs' absence, their leading scorer was Chris Evans, 6-7 PF, with 26 pts, 6 reb (he's headed to Kent State).

Game 4: Southeastern CC (IA) beat Eastern Mississippi CC 76-66
Southeastern (John Wilkins' school) got 16 pts, 6 reb, 2 asst from (Paris Gulley.

    Other games...
College of Southern Idaho looked good - 78-72 over Redlands...ex-BU recruit Fabyon Harris (PG) 2 pts, 1 reb, 1 asst, and Dariius Smith who transferred from UConn 10 pts, 4 rebs, 3 asst, 7 turnovers, 5 fouls (really filling the stat sheet!) - 7-footer Paul Bunch 2 pts, 2 reb.

Southeastern won their 2nd game 59-53 over Shelton State - Gulley 14 ots, 7 reb

Midland beat Wabash and knocked them into the Consolation round, 86-76.
Nurse 17 pts, 4 asst, and again Riggs did not play but Evans gave them 18 pts, 10 reb.

College of Southern Idaho 77 - Tallahassee 65, CSI's Pierre jackson 34 pts, Smith 6, Harris 3, Bunch scoreless

SO -- the Final Four in the Championship Bracket are Midland, Southeastern CC (IA), Monroe, Tallahassee CC.
in the consolation Bracket, the Final Four are Waycross, Western Wyoming, Lamar, Cape Fear.

The D-II juco Nationals are in Danville, IL...
The notable teams there -- Parkland, Meremac, Kirkwood (Iowa's Brennan Cougill), Lincoln, and Erie (their star is God's Gift Achiuwa...who is averaging 15 ppg, 11 rpg)
The Final Four in the Championship Bracket are: Lincoln (Kiel Turpin 16 pts, 11 reb - Demarius Summrell 15 pts), Erie, Triton, Mott...(Jim Bain is coordinator of officials)
Parkland is in the Final Four of the Consolation Bracket

    Lincoln repeats

Lincoln just won its 2nd straight National Championship... Another MVP for Kiel Turpin, how were we not recruiting him before florida state got him..... I think there is also a few unsigned guys on that team too, so maybe we can fill the spots if we lose players..... Great day to be alum from there

Pierre Jackson of CSI was a stud and their best player...averaging 24.5 ppg in the tourney
Darius Smith scored 7 and Fabyon Harris 9 in the title game.

uh oh ....the National Championship trophy was barely unpacked and there's already scandal tainting the team's win...
Two players arrested - drug possession.....

I guess this is pretty common stuff -- three different members of the Washington State basketball team have had arrests this season..

i think they should allow them to play until proven guilty, that is why we have a system. i would hate to see a kid miss out if he is actually innocent. it does happen
Lets surrender ..... Chesty Puller.... "H*$$ NO !!! we have the enemy right where we want them they can't hide"
